This will be our space for a reading response journal. Students will have the opportunity to write about what they are reading, and Mrs. McCurdy will provide comments and feedback.
What should I write about? Here are some suggestions: Make a connection between what you have read with something that has happened to you or someone you know. Describe the character. What makes this character special? Does the character remind you of anyone? Describe the conflict or main action. Discuss something that has left you wondering or confused or amazed. Record words you don't know, and then look up their meaning. Write down specific quotes that you find important. Does this book remind you of another book? A song? A movie? Would you recommend this book to another student? Why? Are you enjoying the book so far? Why or why not? Write about what you like or don't like. Make a prediction about what you think will happen later in the book.
